Take part now in the business plan competition for green entrepreneurs

It’s that time again: The “KUER” business plan competition is entering a new round. With immediate effect, start-ups and young companies from NRW who can show a future-oriented business idea can apply for this and enter prize money raking in a total of 9,000 euros.

The business plan competition is open to business start-ups and start-ups from NRW. The latter must not be older than two years. It is also important for participation that the business idea is one of the following future industries comes from:

  • climate
  • environment
  • Energy saving
  • resource conservation

The first letters of the above segments form the competition name (KUER).

Create a business plan in two phases

The business plan competition is in two phases divided up. In the first, which lasts three months, a basic business plan is drawn up. In phase two, which is scheduled for two months, the detailed business plan is drawn up. Business founders receive support from a personal mentor as well as from technical and industry experts during the creation of a business plan.

That prize money of a total of 9,000 euros will be divided as follows:

  1. 1st place: 5,000 euros
  2. 1st place: 3,000 euros
  3. 1st place: 1,000 euros

Business founders who do not have the opportunity to take part in the competition and need help with the topic of “drawing up a business plan” should draw this up together with a management consultant as part of a business start-up consultation. He knows which important points a business plan must contain and can also assist the founder with questions about the project. Tip: Anyone who has already drawn up a business plan can have it checked by the start-up center of the nationwide initiative “Deutschland starts” as part of a business plan analysis.
